Did you know?
88% of people are at risk of chronic disease and premature death.
Odds are you’re one of them.
I’ve watched patients in their thirties die on operating tables. They left behind young children to grow up without Dad or Mom.
Others felt fine until their fifties or sixties. Until the day they felt a pain in their chest that wouldn’t go away and they wound up on my operating table. Many survived but they had to trade their golf clubs for walkers, unable to even pick up their grandchildren.
This is tragic. But even more tragic is that these illnesses and deaths were largely preventable.
We’re so used to high rates of chronic disease and visible symptoms of poor health that we assume this is normal, when in reality it’s a silent pandemic that we can overcome.
The truth is that our lifestyle choices are killing us: more than half of all Americans suffer from at least one chronic disease, while retirees are told to settle in and endure a certain decline into frailty, chronic pain, and an early grave.
Worse, few doctors understand why this is happening. They blame genetics and recommend low-fat, low-salt diets. Yet as more and more patients end up on operating tables or pass away before their time from avoidable illnesses, it’s obvious we are doing something wrong.
Incredibly, eight of the top ten causes of death in America are the result of metabolic syndrome. “Metabolic syndrome” is a fancy medical term that refers to a combination of obesity, diabetes, and high blood pressure, and it increases your risk of chronic diseases like heart disease and strokes. Studies have shown that 88% of American adults have such bad health that they are at risk of metabolic syndrome.
Metabolic syndrome is almost always the result of poor lifestyle choices, which means eight of the top 10 causes of deaths are preventable.
By making the appropriate lifestyle choices to reduce your risk of metabolic syndrome, you’ll achieve a level of health that most other people can only dream of. Your blood panels will show ideal numbers and you’ll fit into smaller jeans again. Other side effects include more energy, better sleep, and higher motivation.
If you’ve struggled with your health, I get it. It seems like no medical professional can give a straight answer on what’s causing the issues or how best to fix them. Fad diets give you results for a month and then a plateau (or yo-yo). You may gain back the weight you lost, feel worse, then wonder what’s the point of trying.
Doctors are quick to tell people to swallow fistfuls of expensive medication every day for the rest of your life. Many people go bankrupt just trying to stay alive.
It doesn’t have to be this way. There’s a straightforward fix that can address all your health concerns, put you into the small minority of metabolically healthy people, and give you the best quality of life for decades to come.
Imagine if you could live ten to twenty years longer than the average lifespan and enjoy those years.
Ovadia Heart Health can help you embrace this future.
About Our Founder, Dr. Philip Ovadia
I am a board-certified Cardiac Surgeon and founder of Ovadia Heart Health. Our mission is to optimize the public’s metabolic health and help people like you stay off my operating table.
As a heart surgeon who used to be morbidly obese, I have seen firsthand the failures of mainstream diets and medicine. I realized that what helped me lose over 100 pounds was the same solution that could have prevented thousands of open heart surgeries I’ve performed — metabolic health.
In Stay off My Operating Table®: A Heart Surgeon’s Metabolic Health Guide to Lose Weight, Prevent Disease, and Feel Your Best Every Day, I share the complete metabolic health system to prevent disease.
I grew up in New York and graduated from the accelerated Pre-Med/Med program at the Pennsylvania State University and Jefferson Medical College. This was followed by a residency in General Surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry at New Jersey and a Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Tufts – New England Medical School.
Through Ovadia Heart Health, I teach individuals and organizations my complete metabolic health system to prevent and reverse disease, avoid early death, and live well for life.
What Makes Ovadia Heart Health Different?
When I realized how essential metabolic health is to our overall well-being, I had one question:
I’m a heart surgeon. I save lives when metabolic health has progressed past the breaking point and patients are about to die. I also consult with them before and after surgery and give them advice on how to get better and stay out of surgery in the future. And I work closely with other doctors to help my patients manage diseases and stay healthy.
That’s why I was horrified to realize the entire medical system has ignored this one crucial piece of health. Disregarding metabolic health leads to the vast majority of causes of death in this country. Not just sickness, but death.
Yet no one is talking about it. Because the same people who push poor metabolic health on the general public also contribute to deciding what gets published in medical studies and taught to doctors.
Imagine if cocaine cartels controlled all information about cocaine, decided how much the American public would be informed about the risks, and helped decide whether or not doctors would be taught the dangers of cocaine use.
That’s the situation in America right now. Except it’s not cocaine. It’s the food industry with their processed foods with processed carbohydrates, vegetable and seed oils, and preservatives. You’d be horrified if you knew what’s really in the food you eat every day. People are dying while corporations are profiting.
The usual advice has gotten us to the point where 88 percent of Americans are metabolically unhealthy. We need different advice.
That’s why Ovadia Heart Health exists. Rather than prescribe treatments for one symptom at a time (or wait until your disease has developed), we address the root cause. We show you how to fix the one thing in your life that will fix all your other medical issues at the same time.
