Let me remove any confusion from this:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Being thin does not mean a person is healthy!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our health is affected by multiple factors. Weight is certainly one of them, but there are thin people who live on ice cream, candy, soda, and fast food.<\/p>\n<p>Are they healthy? No!<\/p>\n<p>In fact, recent data revealed that only 31% of people at a normal weight met all five standards of optimal metabolic health. In other words, more than two-thirds of people are metabolically unhealthy despite having a healthy weight.<\/p>\n<p>Food affects us on a cellular level. It plays a fundamental role in the integrity of our cells, our blood, our hormone levels (including the ever-so-important testosterone and estrogen).<\/p>\n<p>It can disrupt our sleep, which causes further issues.<\/p>\n<p>There is only one thing that being thin is a guarantee of, and that is not being fat.<\/p>\n<h3>How to obtain real health<\/h3>\n<p>If you truly want to make your health a priority, focus on these areas:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Eating real, whole foods.<\/li>\n<li>Exercise (I advocate resistance training, HIIT-style workouts, and walking).<\/li>\n<li>Sun.<\/li>\n<li>Sleep.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Those are your important basics.
